Making the adventure happen
Many years ago we both lost our hearts for Lapland and are fascinated anew each year about the beauty and the quietness you’ll find here. We would like to share our great passion for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing with you and are looking forward to showing you the best places in the Ylläs area!
The small village of Äkäslompolo is surrounded by 7 fells and beautiful nature. Here you can find us! We guide snowshoeing tours in small groups and in a personal atmosphere for all levels. As our name describes, we offer tours to the top of each of the seven fells. But even if you like it slower or more comfortable, we have come up with something very special for you! Experienced guides, untouched nature, Lappish stories and myths, regional and delicious food is what you can expect when you are on an adventure with us. An authentic experience is important to us.
We can’t wait to take you snowshoeing!
Best wishes,
Sabrina and Brian
Sabrina Häberli
Founder and guide
A Swiss girl from Berne, in love with the Lapish nature and lifestyle. In 2008 I visited Äkäslompolo as a tourist and since then winter in Lapland has become an important part of my life. Showing our guests our favorite places and sharing our passion became a great adventure. For the remaining time of the year I am a travel consultant at Globetrotter in Bern, so planning and organizing is what I'm best at. It's no surprise that I'm the one taking care of inquiries and bookings. Also important: to bake our famous cloudberry cakes. My favorite adventures: Lappish Dinner, Sunset on Kuer, Kesänki and definitely unforgettable our 5 days Trek.
Brian Stockil
Business partner and guide
In 2013 I came to Äkäslompolo for my first winter season as a guide for a safari company, and I never left. Three years later I started running my own business Due North Safaris. My passion is snowmobiling, and by teaming up with Sabrina and Seven Fells Up we get to do what we love most: arrange unforgetable adventures for our winter guests from all over the world.

Päivi
Wilderness guide
A Finnish girl from southern Finland, who visited Äkäslompolo first time about 30 years ago and have been coming back since then. I’m a winter lover who prefers to migrate north for winters. I love to explore nature and outdoors using only my own motor, so in winters my choice is snowshoeing and skiing, in summers kayaking, hiking and trail running. My favourite adventures are our longest trips which are going to less visited summits and areas of the national park: Pyhä, Lainio, Aakenus, Kukas and Kesänki. And of course our 2 and 5 days treks! I speak Finnish and English.
Anette
Wilderness guide
In the winter, I park my campervan next to the seven fells of Äkäslompolo. I love to look out for small details in the snowy forest: thats why short day trips are my favourite trips. On the 5 day treks there is time to forget about modern life sillyness and focus on the beautiful ancient fells and nature. Before I return to my summerhome Helsinki, I try to snowboard down as many mountains up in the North as I can. I speak Finnish and English.
Saskia
Wilderness guide
Coming from Germany I ended up here in Lapland through several stages of travelling and my love for nature. I am not a machine person by any means, so walking through the silence of the forest, discovering the big scenic views, as well as the small details in the forest and the fells is what I love to do. Connecting people with the nature here, sitting around a fire sharing stories and admiring the beauty of the fells together all brings me a lot of joy! And as most of us, I really enjoy the tours to the more remote and quiet fells! I speak German and English.
Chrigu
Cross country ski instructor and guide
My passion is cross-country skiing. At just 21, I taught cross-country skiing for four seasons in the Swiss winter sports and cross-country skiing hotspot of Davos. Since then, I've taken every opportunity to practice cross-country skiing. During the Swiss winters, I've offered guests countless cross-country skiing adventures, adventures, and technique training sessions – always as a side job. Now I'm making my dream come true, moving to Lapland, and living for cross-country skiing! I speak German, French and English.

We had a very nice and fun hike up and down the Kesanki fell thanks to our great guide Jarkko. Seven fells up stands for a personal touch to the snowshoeing experience, it felt like we were off the beaten track of beautiful Lappish nature. Perfect for people who are looking to have a true Lappi experience including nice food and drinks, nice views and sliding down the fell. The hike was not too difficult but challenging enough, just what we were looking for. Thanks very much!
Private tour at its best!
What a great day! We had the opportunity to have our private Birthday tourguide Arthuri which made us our snowshowtrekking unforgettable as a magnificient cook and experienced guide.
Thank you all!
Fantastic snowshoe trip!
We went on a trip they advertised to a sacred place of the Sami. The lake and the forest with the rocks and creek with bridge and outlooks were stunning in the snowy condition. It was a rather easy walk uphill on a well maintained path to a Kota on a place with a great view. We made arrangements by e-mail which worked very well and you get great value (fun, ride, equipment, guiding and food) for money. Would definitely go on a trip with them if we come to Akaslompolo again.
