The Husky tours are all provided by small family run kennels in the Ylläs area.
Transfer from Äkäslompolo approximately 20 minutes
Husky Half Day Trip
You’ll get to mush your own dog teams of 4-6 dogs. Length of the route is 20 km and it depends on the weather how long it takes for the tour, normally 1h 30 min. After the tour, hot drinks and snacks around the fire.

Husky Full Day Tour
Enjoy a full day husky safari in the northern wilderness. Mush your own team of Alaskan huskies through the snowy landscape. On the whole day husky safari each one drives a team of four dogs. The day offers nice time to explore the Lappish Forests, to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and spend time with the dogs. An unforgettable memory! You’ll get served lunch and hot drinks. Length of the route is approximately 35-40 km.

Please notice that everyone driving a sled needs to be in a good physical condition. Age limit to drive a sled is 18 years old and we don´t recommend the tours as self-driven activity for persons over 70 years old.
